Devilled Fish



 This post is specially for one of my cousin sisters who lives in UAE. I hope you will love this recipe.

Ingredients
500g white fish.
1 tsp salt.
¼ tsp turmeric powder.
½ - 1 tsp chillie powder.
1 tsp lime juice.
¼ tsp mustard.
Few curry leaves.
½ tsp garlic paste.
½ tsp ginger paste.
4 capsicums or green bell pepper.
2 big onions.
1 big tomato.
2-3 tbsp Soya sauce.
4 tbsp tomato sauce.
1 tbsp sugar.
½ tsp salt.
½ - 1 tsp flaked chillies (according to your taste).
Oil.

Method
Marinate the fish with salt, turmeric powder, chillie powder and lime juice. Keep for about an hour.

Cut the capsicums or bell pepper into slandered ¼ inch thick pieces.Cut the onion into ¼ inch circles.
Cut the tomatoes into big cubes.
Heat oil in a wok and shallow fry the fish in medium heat till its golden brown. Or deep fry the fish.


Keep it to a side.
Heat 2 tbsp oil in the wok and add mustard seeds. When it starts to pop add curry leaves, ginger paste and garlic paste. Fry for 2 minutes.


Add the capsicum, onion and the tomatoes and fry for two minutes in moderate heat.


Add the fish and mix well.


Mix the Soya sauce, tomato sauce, salt, sugar and the flaked chillie in a bowl.

Add the sauce mixture to the fish and mix well.


Adjust the seasoning.
Devilled fish is done.

You can serve this with vegetable fried rice or plain rice with a salad.
