Fish Fry With Green Chillies



Ingredients

500g Fish.
100g shallots.
100g green chillies.
50g big onions cut finely.
½ tsp garlic paste.
½ tsp ginger paste.
1 tsp pepper powder.
¾ tsp salt.
½ tsp turmeric powder.
1 big tomato cut into cubes.
Juice of half a lime.
Few curry leaves.
½ inch piece cinnamons stick.
1 cup thick coconut milk.

Method

Marinate the fish with salt and lime juice.
Heat oil and deep fry the shallots for 1 minute.
 
Deep fry the green chillies for 1 minute. 

Heat a pan with 1½ tbsp oil.
Add curry leaves, big onions, cinnamon, ginger and garlic paste.
Fry for 1 minute.
Add the fish and cook for 1 minute.
Add turmeric powder, pepper powder and ½ cup water and allow it to cook.


 
Add the coconut milk and allow it to boil. 

Add the fried chillies, shallots and the tomatoes. 

Take it off the fire.

Serve with rice and a vegetable curry.
