Mysore Dhal With Coconut Milk



Ingredients 
1 cup Mysore dhal. 
2 green chillies cut finely. 
½ a big onion cut finely. 
3 garlic pods cut finely. 
Few curry leaves. 
¼ tsp chillie powder. 
¼ tsp turmeric powder. 
¼ tsp curry powder. 
½ tsp salt. 
2 cups water. 
1 cup coconut milk. 

Method 
Mix all the ingredients except the coconut milk and cook on moderate heat for 10 minutes.
 
Lower the heat and cover it and cook for another 15-20 minutes till its cooked and all the water has evaporated.
 
Stir well with the back of a spoon and add the coconut milk and stir well.
 
Allow to boil for 5 minutes in moderate heat.
 
Dhal curry is ready to be served.
