Dhal Wada



Hi Sally ann and Rod. I am posting this recipe on your request. This can be eaten as a snack or for breakfast with a separate dish like roti. I am sure all of you will love it. Hope you will make it and enjoy. Good luck.


Ingredients
2 cups channa dhal.
10-15 curry leaves.
1 onion cut into cubes.
6 cloves of garlic.
1 tsp fennel seeds.
5-7 dried chillies.
Salt.
Oil for deep frying.


Method
Soak the dhal for 6 hours.
Drain the dhal.

Keep 1/2 cup dhal separately.
Cut 5 dried chillies into small pieces and keep aside with the 1/4 cup dhal.
Put the rest of the ingredients to a grinder and grind to a paste.




Add the dhal and the cut dried chillies to the ground mixer and mix well.



Keep oil in a pan and heat in medium flame.
Make into small lime size oval balls or flatten the balls and keep it on a plate.

Once the oil is heated add some wadas to the oil.

Do not over crowd it.
Allow to fry in moderate flame till its crispy and golden brown.
Dhal wada is ready to be served.
