Yellow rice with cummin and potato crisp



Ingredients
2 cups rice.
1 tsp cumin seeds.
½ an onion cut finely.
Few curry leaves.
½ tsp garlic paste.
½ tsp ginger paste.
1 vegetable soup cube.
¼ tsp turmeric powder.
¼ tsp salt.
1 tbsp oil.
3½ - 4 cups water.

Method
Heat oil in a pan.
Add the curry leaves, ginger paste, garlic paste, onion and cumin seeds.

Fry for 2 minutes till the onions become soft.
Add the rice and mix well.

Add the turmeric powder, soup cube and the salt and mix well.


Add the water and cook till done.

Stir well.
Make cup rice or serve into big bowls.

Garnish with the fried potato and onion.

Garnishing
1 mediam size potato cut into narrow strips.
Mix with little salt and deep fried.
1 onion cut into thin wedges and deep fried.
